JAMESTOWN - The Auburn Doubledays broke open a close game by scoring nine runs over the final three innings in a 12-4 rout of the Jamestown Jammers on Sunday.
Auburn led 3-2 going into the top of the seventh before scoring four runs to open it up.
The highlights were RBI triples from Adam Calderone and Manuel Rodriguez.
Auburn plated four more on Benjamin Zeskind's grand-slam home run in the eighth to break it open as the Doubledays went up 11-2. C.J. Ebarb added a solo homer in the ninth.
The Jammers tried to rally, scoring a pair of runs in the bottom of the ninth off Auburn reliever Drew Taylor.
The Doubledays took a quick 2-0 lead in the first as Rodriguez had a RBI double and came around on Bradley Emaus' single. Shawn Scobee made it 3-0 on a homer in the second.
Auburn starter Marc Rzepczynski (3-0) allowed a run on just two hits with seven strikeouts over five innings.
