Quill for mayor.
In response to Jerry Morgan's recent tirade over Mike Quill, I would like to use a phrase often uttered by Col. Sherman Potter on “MASH,” “Horseapples!”
In other words, Jerry, as usual, is full of it.
He's never happy with anyone or anything, all that comes out of his mouth is whining and complaining.
To the best of my knowledge the contracts with the fire and police are negotiated by the whole council along with the city manager and lawyers on both sides.
So why blame one man for doing what is best for his people at that time. To me that is the sign of a great and caring leader.
Mike had a great career of more than 30 years with the Fire Department and did a fine job, so back off Jerry and for once in your life grow a brain and look at the bigger picture. Auburn needs new blood and new leaders in order to survive in the near future.
This can be done with a five person council who is willing to work together under a man who “knows” how to lead.
Mike Quill is an old friend of mine of 45 years and has my utmost confidence and support now and in the future.
In closing I would urge all the voters to sit back and look at what we have in charge at city hall now and what is possible in the upcoming election.
