Justin Valentino pitched and picked up a double and a triple as Weaver Machine & Tool defeated Auburn Firefighters 19-8 to advance to the Pony League championship series.

Also leading Weaver offensively was Jack Burgmaster (three hits), Tom Herbert (two hits, double), Stephen Bennett (two hits, triple), Paul Clark (double), Rayshawn Hollis (double) and Alex Burgmaster (triple). Herbert split pitching duties with Valentino.

Max Pinchak and Mike Kick (triple) each had two hits for Firefighters while Jay Mizro tripled. Malcolm Kellogg, Anthony Torres, Mizro and Ben Pinchak each pitched in the loss.

Hammond and Irving 14, The Printery 8

Nick Murray and Nick DeJoy each ripped three hits to lead Hammond. Aly Nicolosi had a home run and a triple while Nate Evangelista, Nicolosi and Jay Wilkes combined to strike out 12.

Jordan Tabone and John Christopher had two hits apiece for The Printery while TJ Baranick and Brett Lowe pitched.

BABE RUTH LEAGUE

Auburn Fire Department 14, Auburn Police Department 9

Mike Gamba (triple), Rob Culver, Tim Smith, Liam Major and Greg Giannotta each had two hits for Auburn Fire, while Nate Donch doubled.

Gamba, Zachary Clark and Smith each pitched.

Jared Humphrey tripled and Gavin Gleason had two hits including a double for APD.

Humphrey and Nate Kayn split pitching duties.

Trombley's Auto 13, Giuseppes 6

Zach Martin led the way for Trombley's with two hits, including a double.

AJ Spinelli added two hits and John Fiermonte and Mike Granato also sparked the offense.

Luke Christiantelli and Fiermonte combined for eight strikeouts.

For Giuseppes, Steve Komaneky had two doubles and Zach LaDouce had three hits.

Komanecky had seven strikeouts on the mound.
