The Town Board of Cato has a problem letting Cato taxpayers and voters know what is going on in the town of Cato.
A special meeting was advertised in several newspapers for Thursday, July 26, 2007, at 5 p.m. regarding fire and ambulance contracts for next year.
The meeting was called to order at 5:10 p.m. and immediately a motion was made to go into executive session leaving the people attending the meeting to just sit.
Around 7 p.m. the board came out and a motion was made to adjourn.
A lot of time, and money was spent to hear nothing.
Why is everything a secret?
This is not the first time this has happened! Much time is spent just waiting while the Cato board does business behind closed doors.
Are these meetings public or private?
The previous Cato Town Supervisor went into executive session about three times in 28 years.
Many of us want to know what are all the secrets?
