Wow. Murray Lynch is out there. Really out there. I write a letter to The Citizen merely to state that I was growing weary of reading the regular semi-coherent ramblings of a very bitter, delusional man. All he got out of the piece was that I am a Bush supporter who is trying to keep him from doing the Lord's work. What? From the first sentence on of his written response to me it became clear that 'ole Murray was barking up the wrong tree.
I don't consider myself a Bush supporter any more than I was a supporter of Clinton during the years of his presidency. In fact, the only good thing I can think of to say about our president is that he is not John Kerry.
As far as the rest of his letter goes, to compare the insipid drivel that from time to time leaks out of his pen on to the op-ed page, to the teachings of Christ is so wrong on so many levels I don't know where to begin. So I won't. Those ridiculous statements alone speak volumes as to where Murray Lynch is coming from.
Again, the point I was trying to make is quite simple. It is not Murray's message that I find so tedious (although it is) but the messenger. When deciding on the subject of the day he feels he needs to whine about, Murray Lynch is a one-trick pony. The topic really doesn't matter. Whatever it may be you can count on him to share his thoughts with the world using the most shrill, condescending, holier than thou, why is everybody picking on me? tone that you don't hear from anyone else. It is that tone that makes reading anything written by this man a truly tiresome endeavor to say the least.
