n response to the reader who suggested that the picture in your paper showing our pizza makers without gloves were somehow unsanitary ... health code rules state that food heated beyond 165 degrees need not be prepared with gloved hands.
Our pizza ovens cook at over 500 degrees. Any bacteria from a person's hands is destroyed by the heat. We enjoy serving over 1,100 happy customers per week with no reports of sickness from our food.
I hope that readers will try our food “first hand” to discover the wonderful and safe taste that comes from genuine hand-tossed pizza.
Just for the record, when our workers prepare food in the kitchen, they always wear gloves and we have always had satisfactory inspection reports twice a year from the Cayuga County Department of Health.
