Auburn Indians Pop Warner is seeking qualified head football coaches for the non-competitive instructional Flag level, ages 5 and 6.

Great Race practice is every Wednesday
Canoe and kayak practice for the annual Great Race are taking place at 6 p.m. every Wednesday at the sailboat launch in Emerson Park. Both the long and short courses are offered, and experienced people will be there to give advice and tips.

AHS sports physicals begin next month
Auburn School District has scheduled sports physicals from 8 to 9:30 a.m. from Aug. 6 through 9, at the Auburn High School health office. Students can enter the building on the north side of the school.
Aug. 6 and 7 are reserved for boys. Summer school students are welcome to come on Aug. 6 as well.
Football players should on the 6th, while all other boys should come on the 7th.
Aug. 8 is reserved for girls who play field hockey, cross country and swimming. All other girls should report on Aug. 9. All students must bring a signed 75D form from their parent or guardian.
The forms can be found on www.auburn.cnyric.org, or can be picked up at the Athletics Office.
Call play-by-play in a Doubledays game
The Auburn Doubledays are teaming up with the ALS Association to help the fight against amytrophic lateral sclerosis, also referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease.
Every Saturday throughout the season, auctions will be held for the chance to be in the WAUB radio booth for the fourth, fifth and sixth innings as the play-by-play of color announcer.
The winning bidder has the option and will be part of the broadcast on 1590 AM in Auburn as well as worldwide on milb.com.
The Doubledays will provide a CD of the game that day so that the winning bidder can have a recording to take home.
Bidding will take place on auburndoubledays.com as well as by phone in the Doubledays office at 255-2489. Auctions will close the Sunday prior to the game up for auction at 7 p.m.
Half of the winning bid from the auction will go directly to the ALS Association.
YMCA wrestling camp begins Aug. 6
The Auburn YMCA-WEIU is hosting a Wrestling Camp from 8:30 a.m. to noon Aug. 6-10. Auburn coach John Alberici will be the instructor.
The camp is open to both boys and girls ages 8 to 12. The camp will be held at Auburn High School.
The cost is $40 for Y members and $80 for the general public.
The camp fee includes a pizza party and a camp T-shirt.

The Cato-Meridian Community Recreation Center will offer soccer camp July 30 to Aug. 10, at the center on Route 360 East in Cato. The camp will run from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. A free T-shirt will be given with enrollment.
