Bardreau honored at USA hockey camp
As play concluded Friday at the USA Hockey U-14 Development Camp in Rochester, Auburn's Cole Bardreau earned recognition for being one of the top three players in total goals and assists.

Bardreau helped lead his USA Team Gold to an unbeaten 5-0 record by gathering eight points on three goals and five assists. He scored the game-winner in a game on Monday.

Bobby Hoey golf outing set for Aug. 8

The 44th annual Bobby Hoey Golf Tournament will be held at 9 a.m. on Aug. 8 at Dutch Hollow Country Club.

Entry fee is $10 and includes a lunch.

Zonta Club golf tournament is today

The Zonta Club of Auburn's 13th annual Sherri Peter Memorial women's golf tournament will be at Highland Golf Club on July 23.

Registration for the tournament is $65 and all proceeds are used to advance the status of women in Cayuga County.

The tournament will have a two-woman scramble format, flighted by handicap, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.

Pancake breakfast to benefit Sandlot

There will be a pancake breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. July 22 at Applebees in support of Kids Sandlot Baseball. Tickets to attend cost $5.

AHS softball camp has two sessions

Auburn High School will host the annual Auburn Softball Camp in two different sessions. The first will run from July 23 to July 26 and is for girls entering grades 6 through 9 this fall. The second will run from July 30 through Aug. 2 and is for girls entering grades 2 through 5 this fall.

Each day goes from 9 a.m. until noon. The cost to register is $40, and there is a $5 discount for each additional sibling that signs up. Bob Lee, coach of Auburn High School's varsity softball team, will run the camp.

Great Race XXX kicks off Aug. 12

The 30th annual Great Race will take place at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 12, at Emerson Park in Auburn.

The race is a team triathlon consisting of two-, three-, and four-person relay teams. Participants can run, bike, canoe or kayak. The event is open to all ages. Applications are now available at the Auburn YMCA.

AAU hosting golf tourney Aug. 19

The AAU Basketball Golf Tournament will be held at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 19 at the Lakeview Golf and Country Club. The cost to register a team is $260. The tournament will help raise money for next year's AAU Basketball team.

There will also be a party immediately following the tournament at Daut's Restaurant. Applications are currently available at Daut's.
