Cody Ladisair pitched five strong innings, allowing three hits with nine strikeouts as the Auburn All-Stars defeated Geneva 8-3 in the championship game of the District V Tournament Friday at Emerson Park.
Auburn advances to the regionals on July 28 in Homer.
Leading the offense was Mike Charles who went 3-for-3 with three RBIs, John Rizzo who went 2-for-3 and Mike Carberry who went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Shortstop Charles' diving stop in the fourth inning prevented a Geneva rally. Carberry's bunt set the table for a three-run fifth inning.
Hunter Charles pitched a perfect sixth to seal the victory.
