Ah yes, yet another letter from a Bush supporter. And as usual it had nothing to offer but insults, arrogance and apathy. Matthew Whiting has the arrogance to call me an utter buffoon. Tell me Matthew Whiting of Weedsport, how many of my hundreds of letters have you read over the past 18 years? These letters mostly covered politics, social injustices and religion. So am I to understand for taking the time to write letters in the hope of wrongdoings will cease, I am an utter buffoon?
Tell us, Matthew Whiting, what in your opinion is the best way to correct wrongdoings of, let's say, the Bush administration? Is it to sit back like a slug and say nothing like it's not a big deal? Well, to me wrongdoings that never end is a big deal. And it is an even bigger deal to God.
I don't know what kind of practicing Christian you are, Matthew Whiting, but to me a practicing Christian is someone willing to do the same tasks Jesus Christ attempted when he walked the earth. They're hard. And you refer to my attempts to make for a Christ-like world as “constant whining.” Well, if you said it about me, you've pretty much said the Lord did the same. Look at the way he was treated then. No different than the way I am treated now. You're not the first to disrespect me over the years, and you won't be the last.
All you do-nothing-about-anything, love-it-or-leave-it types are plentiful in these here parts.
That nonsense that I like to see my name in the paper constantly is quite laughable. I've gotten token recognition over the years from a handful of people and hate mail from hundreds. You think that's anything to get excited about? Sorry to burst your bubble, Matthew Whiting, but you can like a slug remain in your “do-nothing-about-anything, I-don't-care-to-carry-on-with-the-Lord's-work” world, but I'm still going forward with the works of the Lord. Scorned and ridiculed, I'll always still have his back!
