Lauren Brandt roped an RBI double for Mark's Pizzeria in a 9-5 win over Nucor in a sandlot baseball game on Tuesday. Brian Fipps also hit a double for Mark's Pizzeria, while Gavin Kirby and Griffin Roberts led the defense.
For Nucor, Troy Smith belted a single, a triple for three RBIs. Dustin Culver had an RBI single, Daniel Kopp scored a run in addition to great defensive play. Kevin Horner also played well defensively and Caleb Finnegan threw well on the mound.
BOYS AND GIRLS
Auburn Fire Department Royals 22, New Beginnings Home Care Pirates 20
Sydney Wilson led the Royals with four hits, while TJ Harris and Ellie Fraher each had three. Tyler Ely and Brendan Williams led the defense.
For the Pirates, Jack Schattinger and Emily Klock roped three hits each and Ricky Currier and Gianna Gialbally had two apiece. Kyle Jordan played well defensively.
