Group discussions start at 6:30 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. All sessions are held at the CNY EPIC office, 17 E. Genesee St., fourth floor, Auburn.

Alzheimer's support group to meet

The Office for the Aging's Alzheimer's Community Service Program offers a support group for caregivers providing care to Alzheimer's and other dementias such as Parkinson's disease, Picks disease and other memory loss diagnoses.

The group meets at 4:30 p.m. the third Thursday of every month, at the Christ United Methodist Church on Congress Street in Moravia. The next meeting will be held July 19.

Diabetes support group to meet

A diabetes support group will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 23, at Auburn Memorial Hospital.

The topics covered will be One Touch Changes Everything, Diabetes Management with LifeScan. To RSVP, call Suzanne Hai at 252-4212.

Swimming lessons up and running

Swimming lessons will be offered to swimmers of all ages and levels in three two-week sessions. The first session has begun, but the second and third are still to come. The second session is July 23 through Aug. 3 and the third session is Aug. 6 through 17, at Harris Park, Depot Road, Cayuga.

Lessons are 30 minutes and will be held Monday through Thursday with Friday as a rain date. Lessons are sponsored by the Cayuga-Aurelius Recreation Program.

Cost is $15 per child, $20 for two children, $25 for three and more than three children, add $5 per child.

Memory Walk planned for CNY

The Central New York Alzheimer's Association chapter will conduct five Memory Walks in its 14-county territory during the month of September. The Memory Walk is the association's signature event to help those battling Alzheimer's disease.

The September walk in Syracuse will welcome residents of Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Onondaga, Oswego and Tompkins counties to the Inner Harbor of Syracuse. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with the walk following at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 15.
