Americans have a duty to change their government

Monday, July 16, 2007 10:59 AM EDT

It is time for all officers of the current administration to be held accountable for any and all actions that misled the American citizenry with information that put our troops on foreign soil.
The cost of the lives of our service men and women and the lives of innocent Iraqi citizens for the basis of corporate greed and self serving cronyism is not only morally wrong, it is treasonous and criminal.

The world needs to see the American public exercise the rights to change the government whenever or wherever that government fails to serve the interest of the democratic society it is sworn to represent.

This is not only the right of the American people, it is our patriotic duty!

" What makes you think for a second that I care about Hillary Clinton dirty? There you go again making assumptions like a typical winger. There are few politicians at the moment that I feel are doing this country any good, and that is a disgrace. Anyone with half a brain should be able to recognize that Republicans and Democrats alike are to blame for the current situation, though Republicans to a greater extent. Lastly, the "left" and "right" labels don't do any of us any good and often merely serves to obfuscate the real issues. "

" Chris, I have read the reports. I have also studied structural engineering. I have also been following politics very closely for the last 30 years. They are lying to us and if you cannot see that then you are blind and/or willfully ignorant. Frankly, I wasn't even addressing the 9/11 stuff but if you want to go there we can. This is another tactic the wingnuts use when they know the focus of the argument is on something they cannot win a debate over. The war is an outright fraud as was Vietnam. If we are so interested in democracy in the middle east, why aren't we invading Kuwait, Jordan, or Saudi Arabia? Your arugments never stand up to scrutiny. There is plenty of factual evidence which is plenty enough to indict our leaders for war crimes - you just choose not to believe and ignore it because you're suckered by the likes of discredited buttheads like Rush Limbaugh and the other chronic liars on the right. "

" Its crazy AJ. I believe the structural and material engineers at the National Institute of Standards and Technology instead of an anti-Bush 9-11 "truther" website or DailyKos or Democratic Underground. Those darn engineers and scientists and their facts. You should read my other post and try to take it to heart: The liberal mind knows that presenting evidence is an invitation to debate. You, of course, presented no credible evidence to back up your claim. AJ, you used the first rule of liberal debate: If you feel that your opponent is trying to use facts to your disadvantage, attack him or her personally i.e. I am "SOOOOOO gullible". "

" Chris, you are SOOOOOO gullible to believe all the nonsense that the wingnuts spew. Amazing. They're playing you for a chump. "

" I guess the savage radical Islamists blow themselves up, and kill hundreds of innocent people over corporate greed too, huh? Inasmuch as the Democrats want to pull themselves away from their vote to send our service people to war, they can't. They voted in favor of it, that's it. Its also funny how Democrats like Hil voted in favor of the latest Iraq war funding bill. Does everyone know why? Of course, the bill included money for her pork, and agenda. I guess the war is not treasonous, or criminal if the spending bill includes federal subsidizing for Hillary's agenda. Why have you not spoken out against Hillary for her latest vote, AJ? By the way, I guess that the savages flew those planes into our buildings for corporate greed too. Now, along another line I so enjoy--how much damage to the environment did Al Gore's concert create? He's such a putz. "

" Sure Karl, some great points with absolutely nothing to back them up. The liberal mind knows that presenting evidence is an invitation to debate. Debate is the last thing the liberal wants, because it causes people to ask questions, and questions inevitably lead to the liberal being proven wrong. Karl, people like you and AJ will believe anything as long as it fits your prejudices. "

" Still buying that stuff about "bad intelligence" Chris?! AJ makes some GREAT points! "

Chris Van Note wrote on Jul 16, 2007 9:42 PM:

" I've read the "Downing Street" papers, and I equate them to the 9/11 truther nonsense. There was intelligence from many, many sources and that one is just cherry picked out of the thousands that Blair and Bush saw. I see you also touch on another liberal tin foil hat theory that Bush somehow stole the election. Let me guess: It was the evil Diebold Voting Machine Company. "

AJ wrote on Jul 16, 2007 5:17 PM:

" As for being misled - it is clear that he did. I believe it was Carl Levin who is on the Senate Armed SErvices Committee admitted they KNEW the intelligence was flawed. I don't care whether it was Democrats or Repulicans that voted for the war - they all should have known better and should be held accountable for this fraud. Lastly, the last two presidential elections were a coup d'etat. They just didn't involve any violence. "

" Chris, if you would venture beyond Faux News and the MSM there is a lot of proof. A good starting point would be afterdowningsteet.org . Obviously you have not heard about the Downing Street Memo / Minutes cause it isn't discussed in the MSM. All you have to do is open your eyes. No matter how many times anyone points out the truth you continue to ignore it anyways. "

Chris Van Note wrote on Jul 16, 2007 12:19 PM:

" Here is a news bulletin Philip: We have things called elections. They tend to work out better than a coup d'état. I'd really like to see the proof that Bush intentionally misled the congress (of which, many Dems voted for the invasion) and the US populace. Recieving bad information from the intelligence community (ours and many European countries) does not constitute intentional deceit. "
