The Auburn Doubledays insist things are turning around. They're just waiting for their record to catch up with the rest of the New York-Penn League to prove it. Auburn remains in the bottom of the league at 8-20 despite its best efforts to climb out in a 2-1 loss to Hudson Valley Tuesday night. It was the Doubledays' seventh loss in their last nine games and dropped them 9 1/2 games behind Oneonta in the Pinckney Division.

The Cayuga County Industrial Development Authority wants to cut to the chase in its evaluation of the planned construction of a new $33 million BOCES campus in Aurelius. The CCIDA wants board members of the Local Development Corporation overseeing the project to review a document that lists the basic framework of the building plans.
