Valentino picks up win for Wolverines

Marissa Valentino picked up the win while Katie Blank, Sam Shaheen and Emily Haff each hit a double and went 3-for-3 as the Wolverines topped the Warriors 13-11 in a Auburn Jr. Olympic Softball 13-to-14 Division game on Saturday.
Jenna Hensel, Mollie Pinker and Karleigh Reiley each had three hits for the Warriors while Casey Hicks and Alison Pelton had two hits each.

Shannon Haff and Taylor Acresti split pitching duties for the Warriors.

Sun Devils 6, Dolphins 5

Christina Hrynyk, Christina Luziani and Erin Iaia had two hits each and Hrynyk picked up the win.

Iaia drove in the winning run in the bottom of the sixth.

Jess VanGiesen had two hits for the Dolphins while Meghan Feocco and Ali VanGiesen split pitching duties.

8-to-10

Lil Orioles 13, Mets 7

Kaitlyn Brewer and Hannah Flaherty pitched for the Lil Orioles while Flaherty (three hits, home run), Elizabeth Sherman (two hits), Meghan Dann (two hits) and Marissa Saurini (two hits) led the offense.

For the Mets, Kara Hickey and Miranda Kilmer pitched while Hickey (two hits), Kelly Hicks (two hits) and Ashley Stephens led the offense.

Cardinals 12, Dodgers 12

For the Cardinals, Morgan Bell went 3-for-3 with three RBIs, Annie Giannone had two hits and Katie Hansen had two hits.

Walawender, Giannone and Hansen pitched and Walawender and Giannone led the defense.

For the Dodgers, Alli Divietro and Hannah Lesch pitched. Sarah Dann, Lacey Netti, Lesch and DiVietro had two hits and three runs scored apiece.

Lesch and DiVietro also led the defense.

11-to-12

Angels 15, Yankees 13

Amanda Lupo and Kaylee Monroe led the Angels' offense while Brittany Massi, Kacey Jervis and Brittany Stevens pitched.

Kaleigh Journell and Rachel Farinelli played well defensively.

For the Yankees, Claire Seargant and Erin Chalupnicki pitched and Linsey Corey led the offense.

Red Sox 9, Orioles 7

Danielle Burgmaster (triple) went 3-for-3 and earned the win. Leslie Balk closed out the game.

Also leading the Red Sox was Kelsie Baker (2-for-3), Marty Netti (2-for-3), Kristina Netti (2-for-2) and Nora Garrett (2-for-3).

Jessica Dec played well as the catcher and Tess Dempsey also played well defensively.

Val Fox (2-for-2), Alanna Bridgforth (3-for-3) and Jenna Stevens (2-for-2) led the offense for the Orioles.
