Would it be considered too insensitive of me to ask authorities who would institutionalize Murray Lynch eventually to make his room both windowless and soundless.
Can somebody please tell what the difference is between Bob Congel (Pyramid) - no taxes for 30 years and Empire Zone companies, no taxes for hiring one employee - and the American Indian? Give me a break.

The July 11 Citizen, shows two workers of Daddabbo's pizza preparing pizza, neither has gloves and one has relatively long hair and a beard and no hair protection. How can this be? It is the first sign of an unsanitary operation.

To the person complaining about Michael Bass's candidacy for district attorney: It's quite obvious you must have failed New York state history. I don't think Mr. Bass was ever in the Albany area; and there's a big difference going over the Adirondack Mountains to St. Lawrence County - get your facts straight before you complain.

The taxpayers should vote on any benefits county lawmakers get; sure is nice to vote on your own benefits. Also the county voters should vote on the American Indian agreement with the county, not the elected officials -- we're the ones that pay taxes.

We are residents and taxpayers of Clymer Street and we are sick and tired of 61 Clymer St. not being mowed when is the city going to do something about it.

" Actually, most communities in America have ordinances (a form of local law) that do indeed require the mowing of lawns. I worked in bankruptcy for a while and learned that if a person going bankrupt has a property that is in a bad neighborhood and the bankruptcy trustees don't want it to help pay off the debts, the person is stuck with the responsibility ad infinitum -- the bank can foreclose but they still are responsible for mowing the lawn and also if anyone breaks in to do damage. It's just plain wrong in my opinion, but there you are. I had a friend in Auburn who had to fight legal battles to be allowed to grow wildflowers and herbs in her yard because neighbors were invoking the law that she had to mow the lawn. She won, but only on the condition that she keep her yard/garden no higher than so many inches. Finally, my mom lives in another state. She has very little money. When her mower broke down and she couldn't afford to buy another, her jerk neighbors called the ordinance officer to come give her a ticket for not mowing her lawn, plus an ultimatum to get it mowed within a certain number of days. A kind and good neighbor would have loaned her a mower so she COULD mow her lawn; a really nice neighbor would have seen that she has health problems as well as financial problems and would have offered to mow her little bitty suburban patch of lawn for her. But people are jerks all over -- instead she had to try to come up with the money to pay a fine in addition to trying to find a mower or some kid to come (overcharge) to mow her lawn for her -- I hope it comes home to those jerk neighbors some day when they are old and in tight straits financially so maybe next time they think about a little kindness goes a long way and a lot better than causing more grief and trouble in a poor old woman's life. But, yes, most places, Auburn included, there are indeed laws that say you have to mow your lawn. "

" Listen this time tome if you live in Alaska and you are going to North Dakota you don't have to pay Canadian taxes to use the roads. They are a SOVEREIGN NATION. Look it up in the dictionary. And if you travel to Canada and purchase gas or food or a pair of pants you don't pay US taxes on these purchases. You are racist toward Indians and have no respect for their sovereign status. And try to make me cut my lawn, you have no right to do so. If I was your neighbor I would paint my house with pink and green horizontal stripes. "

" Hey brew....two things... first of all if the indians leave this sovereign land and use any part of this great land that our taxes pay for they like all visitors should pay for its' use highways schools, services etc. Any non indians spending money for products or services on their land should pay taxes for them. As for people cutting their grass. You sound like you have a brain. There is a big difference between wild flowers and wild grasses that grows on the beach and a yard that is unkept. Living next to someone who lets their porperty deteriorate brings down your home and the neighborhood. And with the attitude you have, stay at the beach and please don't buy a home in my area! "

" Every employer that I know determines benefits for their full and part time employees. As taxpayers and employers of the County Legislators(Crooks), we should determine the benefits these part time employees receive. It very much should be voted onby the taxpayers. No one should receive such a benefit, especially these people. All of them have a tax and spend attitude. Remember who voted to keep this benefit and vote them out next election.Fearon and Pappert and the rest of these tax and spend legislators need to go, before they drive all the hard working people from the county. "

" The American Indians were given lands by treaties signed by our nations congresses and presidents that made them a sovereign nation and they have the same rights as the Vatican has in Italy. We can't order them around but have to deal them as sovereign nations respecting their rights as a nation. Live with it. "

" Is there a law that states you must mow your lawn? I've never heard of one. Property owners have rights too. I have seen yards planted as meadows with long wild grass and wildflowers. Would they have to mow it too? If you want the property mowed then buy it and mow it. I live on the beach and have wild grass growing in my yard to retain the sand and grass would not grow in the sand. Are you going to mow my yard too? "
