Cameras to focus in on city council
Cameras will roll for the Auburn City Council work sessions starting later this month.
City manager Mark Palesh responded to requests by councilors
by bringing back the
television cameras
during the twice monthly meetings.
The regular business meetings continued to be recorded and aired on a public television station.
Barring contrary requests, Palesh will
move the work sessions back to chambers and
tape them. The first work session to again be televised likely will be Thursday, July 19.
Lake Como Seniors traveling to beach
The Lake Como Seniors will travel to Myrtle Beach, S.C., for six days and five nights from Oct. 1 through Oct. 6.
The package includes: Round trip motor coach transportation via Onondaga Coach, five nights of lodging, taxes and baggage, gratuity for driver, 10 meals, shows at The Dixie Stampede Dinner Theatre, Carolina Opry & The Palace Theatre and visits to Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, Hopsewee Plantation, Brookgreen Gardens and Ripley's Sea Aquarium.
Travelers of any age are welcome.
Cost per person is $682 for a double, triple or quad and $807 for a single.
Signup is required by Friday, July 20.
A $50 per person deposit is due at signup, and the final payment is due Aug. 2.
