Sign ups available for Cayuga Bridge Run

Applications for the Cayuga Bridge Run are available at the Auburn YMCA.

The race will begin at 6:30 p.m. August 3 at McIntosh Park. The race will serve as the kick-off event for the sesquicentennial celebration for the village of Cayuga. The race will take participants through the village of Cayuga, and is one mile in length.

The fifth annual Old Tyme Flea Market and Chicken Barbeque will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 14. The event is sponsored by Kids Sandlot Baseball. Vendors are still being accepted as well.

Great Race canoe, kayak practice today

Canoe and kayak practice for the annual Great Race are taking place at 6 p.m. every Wednesday at the sailboat launch in Emerson Park. Both the long and short courses are offered, and experienced people will be there to give advice and tips.

Air Gun show starts July 20 at Post 113

The 15th annual Air Gun show will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. July 20, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 21 at the American Legion Post 113. Costs for admission and competitions vary.

Falcon Sportsmen to host golf tourney

The Falcon Sportsmen Club is hosting its annual golf tournament at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 9 at the Millstone Golf Course. Competing teams must consist of four people, and the number of teams is limited to 36. The cost to register a team is $240. Payment is due by Aug. 28.

AAU hoops to hold golf tournament

The AAU Basketball Golf Tournament will be held at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 19 at the Lakeview Golf and Country Club. The cost to register a team is $260. The tournament will help raise money for next year's AAU Basketball team. There will also be a party immediately following the tournament at Daut's Restaurant. Applications are currently available at Daut's.

The Auburn Hockey Club is holding a golf tournament at 12:30 p.m. August 5 at the Lakeview Golf and Country Club. The cost to register is $45 per person, or $180 per team. The deadline to register is July 25.
