Auburn defeats North Cayuga in All-Star game

T.J. Baranick, Brett Lowe and Paul Musso combined on the mound in leading the Auburn Americans to a 11-4 win against the North Cayuga All-Stars in a Pony League All-Star Tournament game.
Musso and Kevin DiCola each collected two hits, while Lowe tripled. Brandon Titus, Matt Jordan and Jay Wilkes all also added hits for Auburn.

Richard Hurd and Ryan Dixon powered the North Cayuga offense in the loss.

Auburn Babe Ruth

Auburn Fire Department 13, Byrn's Trophy 3

Mike Gamba hit a grand slam home run to lead Auburn Fire Department to victory. Tim Smith tallied three hits, while Nate Donch and Zack Clark each collected two hits. Gamba also pitched a complete game, allowing only six hits. Jim Talbot and Mike Westmiller supplied strong defense in the field.

Rich Valentino and Adam Hurd both had two hits for Byrn's Trophy. Valentino and Joe DeAngelis split the pitching duties on the mound.

Auburn Xreme 18-and-Under Fastpitch Softball

Auburn 6, Cazenovia 4

Kelly Grinnell had two hits and scored two runs in Auburn's win in the first game of a doubleheader Tuesday. Shannon McCormick added one hit, Brianne Raftis collected two RBIs, while Lauren Fedyshyn, Sarah Wild and Nikki Neagle each drove in one run. Brittany Babcock allowed only two hits on the mound while striking out four.

Auburn 5, Valley 1

Babcock threw a three-hitter and struck out two in the second game of Auburn's doubleheader. Neagle and Raftis added two hits, while Babcock, McCormick, Fedyshyn and Sara Doan each added one hit.

Auburn 7, Spartans 1

Auburn also defeated the Spartans in a makeup game Tuesday. Jamie Bruno scored twice, and Raftis collected a two-RBI double. Amanda Daum had a solid overall game, recording one hit, two runs scored, one RBI and two stolen bases.

Samantha Bruno picked up a triple, Doan hit a two-run double and McCormick had an RBI single. On the mound, Babcock allowed only five hits and struck out five.

Auburn 8, ES-M 4

Jamie Bruno and Sarah Green each collected three hits to lead Auburn to a win in the first game of a doubleheader Tuesday. Both players drove in two runs each. Liz Daniels added two hits, while Stefanie Spinney and Brittany Cunningham each had an RBI single.

Sam Bruno tossed a one-hitter while striking out seven batters.

Rebels 8, Auburn 5

Jamie Bruno's three hits weren't enough for Auburn in the second game of the doubleheader. Katie Lupo picked up two hits and one RBI. Green also drove in one run, while Daniels and Molly Pinker both had one hit. Jen Van Arsdale added one RBI.
