Ad space available for football guide
Auburn High School sports boosters are currently soliciting ad space for an Auburn football program and media guide.
The magazine will include pages on the history of Auburn football, pictures and bios on the coaches and players, and a recap of last year's season.

Auburn softball camp begins July 23
Auburn High School will host the annual Auburn Softball Camp in two different sessions.
The first will run from July 23 to July 26 and is for girls entering grades 6 through 9 this fall. The second will run from July 30 through August 2 and is for girls entering grades 2 through 5 this fall. Each day goes from 9 a.m. until noon.
The cost to register is $40, and there is a $5 discount for each additional sibling that signs up. Bob Lee, coach of Auburn High School's varsity softball team, will run the camp.

Final chance to sign up for Pop Warner
Auburn Indians Pop Warner football and cheerleading is offering one final chance to register from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 12, at the Auburn YMCA.

Great Race XXX set for Aug. 12
The 30th annual Great Race will take place at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 12, at Emerson Park in Auburn.
The race is a team triathlon consisting of two-, three-, and four-person relay teams. Participants can run, bike, canoe or kayak.
The event is open to all ages. Applications are now available at the Auburn YMCA.

Cayuga Bridge Mile to take place Aug. 3
The Cayuga Bridge Mile will take place at 6:30 p.m. August 3 at MacIntosh Park. The one mile run will take participants through the Village of Cayuga.
The race begins at McIntosh Park.
Registration for the event begins at 5:30 p.m. The cost is register is $12 if postmarked by July 20, and only $10 for students and families.
Applications are available at the Auburn YMCA.

Call play-by-play in a Doubledays game
The Auburn Doubledays are teaming up with the ALS Association to help the fight against amytrophic lateral sclerosis, also referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease. Every Saturday throughout the season, auctions will be held for the chance to be in the WAUB radio booth for the fourth, fifth and sixth innings as the play-by-play of color announcer.
The winning bidder has the option and will be part of the broadcast on 1590 AM in Auburn as well as worldwide on milb.com. The Doubledays will provide a CD of the game that day so that the winning bidder can have a recording to take home. Bidding will take place on auburndoubledays.com as well as by phone in the Doubledays office at 255-2489. Auctions will close the Sunday prior to the game up for auction at 7 p.m.
Half of the winning bid from the auction will go directly to the ALS Association.
