City of Auburn, how about showing some respect and cleaning up the war memorials downtown. They're beginning to look at little ratty around them.
I hear the new casino's being built on East Genesee Street next to the VFW in Auburn. Is that true?

This violence-promoting hip-hop music the prison brought us, everyone around the state is trying to get rid of, and instead the local media is promoting it. This is going to cause more and more problems, violence in Auburn - why doesn't someone stop it instead of promoting it?

To the person who stated John Kennedy put us into Vietnam in the 1960s, ought to read his history book - that is an absolute untruth. President Eisenhower took over for the French at the French requesting so they could get out of Nam, we took over and they were supposed to put in military advisors into Vietnam without any weapons.

Our pledge of allegiance includes the word “indivisible” which Webster's Dictionary defines as “incapable of being divided.” Webster's Dictionary describes “incapable” as “lacking legal qualifications or requirements.”

Another waste of two lives, driving a boat while intoxicated. What is wrong with these people?

" I would have to totally agree with "skyblue5940" Listen "carefully" to the lyrics and then perhaps you'll get a grip! In case you didn't notice there have been problems in this community for a very long time---> if the justice system did what they are supposed to do the maybe we would not have so many problems of violence here...further more how can one say that the music is the root of these punk a$$ wanna bes decisions to commit crimes??? Spare me. "

" As a veteran, I am disgusted with the amount of money that is being wasted glorifying war when we have brothers and sisters who are receiving substandard healthcare and living in substandard housing. Those groups that want to build this new memorial park are missing the boat. How about using the money to build a vocational training center or something else that truly offers a service to the veterans? "

" A moment of truth has come--- any and all war memorials should be looked after, but by whom? Like it or not, these areas should be looked after, policed, and care for BY VETERANS ORGANIZATION. These organizations handle burial rites, benefits in filing the needed paperwork for these veterans' benefits, putting flags and sponsoring flags for schools, public buildings, cemeteries, etc.. You may consider this view onesided, but veterans should take care of veteran issues. "

" I wonder how many of our City, County, State and Federal "powers that be" would still be around if we did what China did and executed those who are corrupt. I think we would need to have elections for all 4 areas real fast! But is sure sounds like a good idea to me! "
