Danile Clark, the Waterloo murderer who received a sentence of 19 years in Auburn State Prison yesterday, was brought to Auburn on the 2:35 train this afternoon. He was handcuffed to a deputy and wore and old blue suit of clothers.

Cayuga Count's first installment of motor vehicle plates for the year 1948 have been delivered from Auburn Pirson, where the plates are made for the state.

It's back to the drawing board for contractors bidding on Auburn school district's $19.2 million renovation project. The low bids in five major contract areas totaled $18.28 million, roughly $1 million less than the estimated project total.

The beaches at Frontenac Park are now open after being closed for a week due to high coliform counts. Cayuga County Health Department spokesman John Rowe said that village officials were given a permit Wednesday to run the public swimming area.
