Morin's slam propels Yankees past Mets

Jake Morin had four hits, including a grand slam, and scored four times to lead the Auburn Police Department Yankees to a 19-18 win over Byrne Dairy Mets in an Auburn Boys and Girls League Baseball game Sunday.
Luke Viggiano and Kyler Viggiano each scored four times and had four hits as well. McKenzie Wise led the Yankees defensively.

For the Mets, Justin King and Dom DiFabio had four hits apiece and Matty Walters added two hits. Noah Decker led the defense.

The Printery Braves 26, New Beginnings Home Care 15

Max Bergan (four hits, four runs), McCrea White (three hits, three runs) and Jacob Sanders (three hits) led the Braves offensively while Aaron Kowal and Olivia Morgan led the Braves defensively.

Emily Klock (home run), Rick Currier (three hits), Kristen Mohen (three hits) and Gianno Galbally (two hits) led New Beginnings. Kyle Jordan played well defensively.

Children's Health Specialists Marlins 24, Gaston-Moore Photography Twins 13

Emma Tavener, Kaleb Cook and Jacob Dawley had three hits each for the Marlins, James McCandless tripled and Jordyn McCandless led the defense.

For the Twins, Lucas Fedyshyn and Julian Martinez had three hits apiece. Gabby Rizzo and Colby Murphy had two hits and two assists each.

Byrn's Trophy & Sports Padres 22, Finger Lakes Dermatology Red Sox 13

Syndey Fallat, Cutter Johnson, Luke Lynn and Joe Sabine had three hits and two runs scored apiece while the Padres' defense was led by Noah Wojnar and Abbie Fallon.

The Red Sox were led by Kaiden Tubbert (three hits, defense) and Nattalie Procino (three hits).

Daddabbo's Indians 23, Tim's Power Washing Cardinals 17

Austin Coff (triple), Laiken Wilson, Andrew Boglione and Kennedy Wilson had three hits apiece for the Indians. Macey Wilson, Olivia Amoia and Jacob Podfigurny added two hits each and the defense was led by Giovanni Pettigrass.

For the Cardinals, Jason Baranick, Bobby Faynor and Lindsey Roe led the offense.

Empire Hardware Dodgers 17, Vision Care Athletics 12

Chris Smith, Parker Hogan and Lucas Hogan had four hits each, while Josh Lentini added three hits for the Dodgers. Garrett Schaffer led the defensive effort.

For the Athletics, Hailey Quinten (four hits), Luke Lucowski (three hits), Dakota Welch (three hits) and Tyler Jasnewski (defense) led the way.

Daut's Braves 20, Auburn Fire Fighters Royals 19

Daut's was led by John Malandsaccolo, James Roeschlaub and Madison Stevens with four hits each. Reed Chronis, Marley Plish and Owen Spearing contributed with four hits and each played stellar defense.

Sydney Wilson, Katie Donovan and Eric Donovan had four hits each while Donovan scored three times.

The Royals were led defensively by Allie Fraher and Tyler Ely.

PONY LEAGUE

All-Star Tournament

Auburn Nationals 13, Waterloo 1

Auburn's Nick Petrosino, Nick Covich and Tom Herbert combined on a two-hitter.

The offense was led by Petrosino (two hits, double), Tom Herbert (two hits, double) and Max Pinchak (two hits, double).

Austin Martinez played well defensively.

Auburn Nationals 8, Northern Cayuga 0

Herbert pitched a one-hitter for Auburn. The offense was led by Petrosino (two hits, triple, double), Ryan Dailey (two hits, double) and Pinchak (two hits).

The defense was led by P.J. Casper.

Byrn's 4, ACF 1

Connor Kilmer had two hits and Adam Hurd doubled to lead Byrn's.

Tim Locastro tossed a two-hitter.

For ACF, Nick Herlihy, Mike Gordan and Zach Clark led the offense while Gordan and Jamie Terry pitched.

Trombley's Auto 10, Fire Fighters 8

Zach Martin led the way with two hits including a double, and Nick Bolak also added two hits.

Luke Christiantelli and Luke Colella split pitching duties for Trombley's.

For Fire fighters, Zach Clark (double) and Nate Donch had two hits each.

Donch also pitched.

Trombley's Auto 21, Fire Fighters 16

Zack Martin homered, had three hits and doubled while Luke Christiantelli (double) also added two hits, as did John Fiermonte, Dave Jacobs, Mike Granato and Nick Koziol.

Rocco DeFranco, Luke Colella, Martin, Jacobs and Fiermonte combined for 13 strikeouts.

For Fire fighters, Nate Donch doubled twice, Tim Smith had two hits and Zack Clark doubled.

Smith and Mike Gamba combined for eight strikeouts.
