Doctor should not have told family to go away

I am very upset about what happened to my parents, who are 86 years old, and myself.

We have been going to this doctor for about four years and I have missed only about five doctor visits. I had to cancel the other day because my father was very sick and I could not leave them alone. I called a couple days ago and he said I would have to find another doctor and take my parents with me.

I think that is very cruel. I hope people will read this. Now we have to find someone else.

" I could see you being discharged from the practice if you were a no show and it happened more than once but since you were nice enough to cancel, it should not have happened. At least the Dr's where I work are understanding of the fact that people need to cancel their appts now and then. A no show is another story. That is just rude of the patient to not show and to not call to advise they won't be able to come in. "
