Politicians selling us out for special interest groups

Friday, July 6, 2007 9:51 AM EDT

None of today's politicians give a rat's butt about the people, only what's in it for them from insurance and drug companies, from the money they mandate we pay to them.
Every four or five years the S.S. sends a letter saying you will be getting a $10 a month raise - read down to the third paragraph and it says they are taking $8 for Medicare.

Over the years it makes the shot pretty expensive.

The last part of April and the middle of May I wrote to Congressman Arcuri and asked how he was going to vote on two different bills.

To date, not even a postcard for a reply.

So much for the politicians caring about the citizens of America. Being a new congressman, I know he is busy finding out who are the best people to suck up to and how they want him to vote.

God help America.

" We, as taxpayers, are missing the real point. Politicians are acting by their own set of standards. They feel they are entitled because we voted them in based on their platform. We need to pay careful attention when voting them in. Study their past with regard to attendance at voting sessions, or the particular way they vote. By and large, they do not listen to our gripes until election time, then we all kiss their A** thinking that they really care about us. I know a few politicians personally, and they are nothing like they portray themselves to be in public. In addition, lets get together and stop the career minded politicians with term limits. Why should someone be able to run for assembly three, four, or five terms, and earn in excess of double the average household income for Cayuga County? We just sit back and let it happen. stupid people we are. "
