mystery, which has boggled the nation since June 25. There

was no satisfactory explanation of the phenomenon.

Pat Cutshall's lead-off homer in the top of the eighth helped lead the Auburn Doubledays to a come-from-behind, 3-2

victory over the Watertown Indians at the Duffy Fairgrounds

in Watertown.

A Tompkins County man and his 12-year-old daughter survived a boating accident on Cayuga Lake after two alert boaters on shore jumped in their boat and went searching for them.
