The “Flying Saucer” mystery reached fever pitch today after “I Saw Them Myself” statements from a veteran United Air Lines crew, scores of Portland residents and 60 picnickers at Twin Falls park in Idaho.

Cayuga County home sales remained moderate this spring, keeping the local real estate market in a buyers mode for yet another quarter. Home sales in the county totaled 95 in April, May and June at an average price of $68,800. Through the first half of 1996, the average sale price was $72,380 compared to $65,575 the year before.

Michele Sedor isn't stepping aside after all. After Sedor had announced her desire to step down from the Auburn school board's top spot, board members were unable to agree upon a new president for the next year. The stalemate encouraged Sedor to put her name back into the running and she was re-elected by a 5 to 1 vote.
