Two Cents

I'm so disgusted at the actions of our Democratic leadership. They say Mr. Dempsey is a good guy, but has baggage, and should not run for mayor - what a joke.
To the veterans in Owasco: The American flags are out and standing tall.

Maybe I'm on the wrong side of the generational divide, but for the life of me I can't figure out why kids don't appreciate our Constitution.

This loud and proud conservative is proud that conservatives are not writing letters to The Citizen calling for the abolishment of the letters to the editor as part of The Citizen just because a few flaming liberals are abusing the privilege of writing in it.

Well, so much for that “far left wing” Mr. Grannis some of you paranoids have been warning us about. For the most part, with a DEC like we have now, who the heck needs polluters?

First her racial prejudice against “the Indians” and now it's her sexuality prejudice against homosexuals. Would The Citizen please quit printing the articles by the hatemonger Judy Ducayne!

July 4, 2008 - 232 years after 1776, could begin the USA anew. We have a year to change the way of dependence to independence, and freedom from our government giveaways and control.

" Abortion is already restricted to the first trimester of pregnancy, longer only if the woman's life is in jeopardy, or there is strong evidence of severe fetus abnormalities. Your statement is misleading even if true. "

" Actually, current public opinion is over 60% pro-LIFE. Planned Parenthood even did a survey last year in over 100 high schools across the U.S. and found that about 84% of the survey-takers favored either restricting abortion or banning it altogether. "

" Bobbo, George has torn up the constitution and is using it for toilet paper. That's how much respect he has for it. And it's true what Iris said - "darned" wasn't exactly the language he used, but otherwise it is a direct quote from the scumbag himself.. "

Iris wrote on Jun 30, 2007 12:56 PM:

" George has been quoted as saying that, except he didn't used "darned." He appointed two conservatives to the Supreme Court, for obvious reasons. "

Bobbo wrote on Jun 30, 2007 10:56 AM:

" AJ, if thats a direct quote, its strange that he appointed 2 constitutionalists to the supreme court. Don't get me wrong, I'm strongly pro-choice, but Roe V Wade is unconstitutional. Even if overturned, it would not make abortion illegal. The states would decide, and the current&historic public opinion is over 60% pro-choice. Its a legislative issue, not a Supreme court issue who clealy overstepped its boundaries. "

" The constitution? "It's just a god darned piece of paper" according to George. "

" It's hard to appreciate the constitution when you have a president and political party than run rampant all over the document and bend it to their own agenda. "
