Police searching Thursday for a missing 10-year-old boy were able to locate him after reports of the case were broadcast on television.
Derrell "D.T." Thomas was reported missing from 204 VanAnden St., Auburn, Wednesday night. The boy was last seen at his residence around 2 p.m. Wednesday when he said he was going to visit a friend. Thomas was supposed to return by 10 p.m., and was reported missing shortly after he did not appear around 10 p.m., police said.
Officers checked with several of Thomas' relatives and several locations where he is known to hang out Thursday.
After the case was made public, a person who had seen Thomas directed city police to an apartment building at 137 North Street, where he was found by police.
