Cherry festival
At Cobblestone Farm Winery on the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail, something special has been happening every summer for three years. On this sprawling 19th century farm, visitors can enjoy merlot sorbet, cherry wine, home-baked treats and hay rides.
Cobblestone Farm Winery, one of the newest wineries on Cayuga Lake, offers all these things and more during its annual cherry festival, including cherry picking, free admission and parking and an informational tour around the farm.
“We keep having vendors calling, and it's getting big - we have 12-14 vendors for this year,” said Cobblestone co-owner Bob Rozzano about the growth of the festival over the last three years. Rozzano and Cal Blitman, Rozzano's partner and winemaker, acquired the property in 2004 and started the festival in 2005 to get people to know Cobblestone as a winery and to get to know the property.
