Brad Molloy is a good writer and has a great sense of humor. We need more men like that writing in The Citizen and fewer “Michael Savage” wannabees.
Gee, we seem to remember a long time ago here in our city of Auburn, there were bricks on our sidewalks, but they had to be removed. Here we go again, the city laying bricks again, but yet you aren't allowed to have bricks for your sidewalks in front of your property.

So why is it the city can have brick sidewalks? Remember we have handicapped and seniors here that have a hard time walking and getting around downtown now.

Car manufacturers still put tachometers in most cars which people totally ignore. The car buyer pays for that and it is not needed or used, so consumers are ripped again.

When I look at the candidates the Democratic party is offering up for City Hall, all I can think of is that old standard “Is That All There Is?”

Carol Estabrook has stated that she doesn't see how the state can be held accountable for the unreliable and limited science available in 1991 in regards to Roy Brown's bum rap. Too bad she doesn't mention all those documents that disappeared and mysteriously showed up years later.

" Check to make sure your screen resolution is at 1024x768 pixels. Also, under internet options, enable image resizing under the advanced tab. How old is your monitor or your video card? "

" Leon: Another possibility is if you have a smaller monitor than I do. Here at work, I have a 17" flat panel -- not too bad. But I used to have a tiny 13" CRT at home and sometimes that would squish things on top of each other. Of course, if that's the case, there's not going to be much you can do about it unless you want to buy a bigger one (or keep sending feedback to the Citizen about the shortcomings of their site which need fixing). [This info seemed worth posting since several people are having this same problem]. "

" Farmer's Gal, I have the same version of IE you do... and I agree with you, the design of this site isn't stellar, seems there's always something screwy going on. Thanks! "

" Well Brew, I was granted the right as an American to "voice" my opinion by the constitution, and I'm clearly in the majority since I too, like 90% of Americans, oppose the immigration bill. I find it very shady that non-citizens can break our laws by crossing our borders at will without going through security checkpoints yet I, an American citizen, must go through exstensive security checkpoints to board a plane from Boise to Omaha. If I break the law, I get punished, yet an illegal alien gets turned loose. Apparently only Americans must adhere to the law. Cloture is a method the senate uses to avoid a filibuster. I suggest you get informed on all levels of your government and hold your representatives responsible. Unfortunately, people such as yourself are blinded by the meaningless antics of celebrities while our government takes advantage of public ignorance and pushes through legislation that will affect generations to come. "

" Say peter_pan, it's a tachometer, unless you are counting tacos! LOL! Thanks for the chuckle. (Since I drive standard, the tachometer (as well as the sound of the engine) help me to know when to shift). "

" Leon -- FWIW, I do some tech troubleshooting in my job and have seen this kind of problem. Usually it is a matter of an incompatibility with the browser. A good website designer will design a site that works in all browsers, but no one could say this online website/system is well-designed, LOL! My advice is try a different browser. I am using IE 6.0.2900..... and am not having the problem you describe. "

" Boobo, when did you get appointed the voice of the majority? And what is cloture? "

" It is easier to read the articles without the "Top Jobs & Stocks" data if you go to the "printable version" on the bottom of the page to read. Hope this helps. "

CayugaWatch wrote on Jun 26, 2007 6:23 PM:

" Lately when I check your internet site, I have a problem with reading things, because you put the wall st data right over different articles. This has been going on for a little over a week and makes it hard to read. "

" Both Schumer and Clinton voted for cloture today which is a vote for the amnesty bill that will bankrupt Social Security and other safety net programs promised to you in exchange for your tax dollars! Call Chuck @ 202-224-6542 and Hilllary @ 202-224-4451 to let them know how disappointed you are in their blatant disregard to public opposition. "

" Is it just me, or is everyone else seeing the Top Jobs and Stocks sidebars on the right covering up the text in the column? "

" Honestly a tacometer is a nice thing to have - you will know how much your car is revving and when it's changing gears at. It's probably only a few dollars as opposed paying for the Lexus symbol so you are in no way ripped off. It may be useless to you, but to some it's a nice feature. Why do cars even come with speedometers? Cuz no one uses them? Get real dude. "
