The Food Providers Network wishes to thank all the businesses that supported the Soup Supper on Hunger Awareness Day on June 5, 2007.
The soups that the restaurants made and donated were delicious. The pizzas were greatly appreciated and delicious.
Thank you to all the businesses who donated items for the door prizes.
We also would like to thank Mayor Lattimore, Councilor Dempsey, Councilor Graney and City Manager Palesh for attending, and Mayor Lattimore for proclaiming June 5, 2007 as Hunger Awareness Day in the city of Auburn.
Thanks also to Linda Murphy from the County Legislature for attending and bringing the proclamation proclaiming June 5, 2007 Hunger Awareness Day in Cayuga County.
To all those who attended, thank you for helping us raise awareness of hunger in the city and the county. One in three children go to bed hungry and the six food pantries in Auburn and 15 throughout the county do their best to help alleviate this problem.
Thank you for your time and effort.
