Dan DeFranco, Jake Clark and Max Hogan had three hits each to lead Auburn Police Department to an 11-8 victory over Auburn Correctional Facility in a Little League baseball game Saturday.
Jack Hogan also went 2-for-4 while the APD defense was led by Sean Nolan and Kevin Morrisey.
For ACF, Mark Bachman went 3-for-4 and Justin Valentino went 2-for-2. Valentino and Mike Gentile led ACF's defensive effort.
Little Giants 8, Stanton Automatics 3
The Little Giants were led by Luke Boedicker (three hits), Hunter Charles (triple), Joe Messina (double) and Nicco Lupo (double).
For Stanton, Enrique Torres had three hits and Jake O'Hearn added two hits.
Boedicker had six strikeouts, Jordan Serling struck out three and Charles struck out four. For Stanton, Mike Mitchell had five strikeouts while RJ Anderson had one strikeout.
PONY LEAGUE
Dunkin Donuts 11, Elk's Club 4
Patrick LaDouce (three hits, double) and Trent Lawrence (three hits) led Dunkin Donuts. Lawrence and Brent DeBois pitched in the win.
Billy Reister and Alex Herring led the Elk's offense while Paul Musso, Bridget Moore and Reister shared the pitching duties.
Auburn Kiwanis 18, Bellerdine Investigators 1
Kevin DiCola and Dan Carter combined for a one-hitter and 11 strikeouts. Carter led the Kiwanis offense with three hits while Jack Farrington (two hits, home run), Matt Jordan (home run), Alex DiCola (double) and Brandon Titus (double) all had hits for Kiwanis.
Mike Biata had the lone hit for Bellerdine.
BABE RUTH LEAGUE
S.K. Post 3, ACF 1
Bob Dushatinski had a two-run double, Brad Murdoch had an RBI double and the S.K. Post committed no errors.
Mike Ferlenda tossed a complete game three-hitter with 10 strikeouts for S.K. Post while Mike Gordon and Rob Watros combined on a four-hitter for ACF.
Byrne's Trophy 7, Firefighters 6
Tim Locastro, Andrew Chadderdon (double) and Connor Kilmer (double) had two hits apiece for Byrne's.
Tim Smith had two hits for Firefighters while Rob Culver delivered a double.
Locastro pitched for Byrne's and Smith was handed the loss.
BOYS AND GIRLS LEAGUE
Children's Health Specialists Marlins 15, First Niagara Rangers 10
Kaleb Cook and T.J. Reilly each homered for the Marlins while Justin Kopec added a double.
For the Rangers, Jimmy McKeen and Brandyn McKeen had three hits apiece.
Chelsea Franczek led the Marlins on defense while Rachel Tarby and Trevor Hesse played well defensively for the Rangers.
The Printery Brewers 16, Byrn's Trophy & Sports Padres 14
Max Bergan and Nathan Heyde had three hits each for the Brewers while Jamie MacBain and Kyle Rathbun led the defense.
Sydney Fallat (five hits, five runs) led the Padres while Cassandra Breault, Maeve Canty, Margaret Canty, Kevin Stechachak and Jack Canty had three hits apiece.
Joe Sabine and John Ryan led the Padres defensively.
Leader Chiropractic Cubs 17, Vision Care Associates Athletics 16
Emmet Mack led the Cubs with a grand slam, Nathan Serling went 3-for-3 and Reagan Polcovich added a hit. Cierra Leader, Eric Kennedy and Noah Rielly led the Cubs' defense.
Kyle Hunt (home run), Luke Lukowski and Noah Martin each had three hits for the Athletics while Kate Diffin and Tyler Jesnewski played well defensively.
