Owner will continue to hope for duck's success

Saturday, June 23, 2007 11:35 PM EDT

Well, another Memorial Day and another Duck Derby are over. My duck, “Ruptured Duck,” has participated in all of them, with little to show for it. Of course, he is older than most of the ducks and has a disability besides. But his will to succeed keeps him going year after year. I have supported him right along as we have been friends for quite a while, and will continue to support him as I know he will try again next year. So far he has not won any prize and I know he would easily come in last for the money but his pride will not let him.
So we await another year with hope.
