Haff drives home winner for Union Springs X

Hunter Haff drove in Logan Corcoran for the winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning as Union Springs X defeated Union Springs IIX 12-11 in a Little League playoff baseball game Friday.
Union Springs X will now play Genoa in Monday's championship game.

Haff also earned the win, tossing the game's final two innings. Also pitching for Union Springs X was Derrick Cunningham, Luke Drancsak and Treshaun Stokes.

Drancsak led the offense with three hits including two triples and a double, while Tyler McNeal, Kevin Cunningham and R.J. Moon contributed to the offense.

AUBURN BOYS AND GIRLS LEAGUE

Tim's Powerwashing & Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning 20, Auburn Police Department Royals

Zach Iverson had four hits to lead Tim's, while Ryan Chalupnicki, Bobby Faynor, Carter Bashta, Dylan Flask and Kati Bashta had three hits apiece.

David Hickey and Sidney Wilson each had three hits for APD, while Brendan Williams scored three runs.

Defensively, Tim's was led by Lindsey Roe, Grace Baranick and Jason Baranick, while APD was led by Kira Monroe, TJ Harris and Ellie Fraher.

Auburn Police Department Yankees 20, Empire Hardware Dodgers 7

Jake Morin had a grand slam and turned two doubles plays for the Yankees.

Also leading the winners was McKenzie Wise (three hits, three runs) and Jillian Ervolina (three hits, three runs).

Chris Smith and Trapper Colville added three hits apiece for the Dodgers, while Alexa Dailey and Gabby McGinn picked up two hits each.

SANDLOT LEAGUE

Children's Health 13, Nucor 11

Jordan Wallace had two hits while Eric Paoff (three runs) and Austin Pitcher (two runs) added to the Children's Health offense.

For Nucor, Quinn Huckee, Brett Saroodis and Andrew Truex had two hits apiece.

Nucor 12, Byrne Dairy 5

Troy Smith and Caleb Finnegan picked up the win while Max Ferrera, Dustin Culver and Cody Smith scored two runs apiece for Nucor.

Kaydee Alberry led Nucor's defense.

For Byrne Dairy, Steven McCarthy pitched well, Alex Gavras had an RBI single and Brady Jenner had a home run and scored twice.

BABE RUTH LEAGUE

APD 4, ACF 2

Jared Humphrey and Steve Titus each went 2-for-3 while Gavin Gleason pitched a complete game four-hitter for APD. Jason Parker, Cody Cotrell, Pete Sigona and Gleason also added to the offense.

For ACF, Jamie Terry pitched and each Chris Watros, Nick Herlihy, Mike Petrosino and Mike Gordon had hits.
