Great Race XXX to be held Aug. 12
The 30th annual Great Race will take place at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 12, at Emerson Park in Auburn. The race is a team triathlon consisting of two-, three-, and four-person relay teams.
Participants can run, bike, canoe or kayak. The event is open to all ages. Applications are now available at the Auburn YMCA.

The Ultimate Goal Family Sports Center in Marcellus has announced its Multi Sport Camp for boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 16. The camp runs Monday through Friday each week from July 2 to Aug. 10. Registration prices vary from $15 for one half-day session to $120 for a full week with lunch included.

Swimming lessons to start in Cayuga
The Cayuga-Aurelius Recreation Program will be sponsoring swimming lessons in three two-week sessions at Harris Park on Depot Road.
The first session will be held July 9-20, the second from July 23, to Aug. 3, and the third from Aug. 6-17. Lessons are 30 minutes long and will be held Monday through Thursday, with Friday serving as the rain date. Registration cost is $15 for children, $20 for two children, $25 for three children, and so on.

The fourth annual Sean Gummerson Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at 1 p.m. July 8, at the Dutch Hollow Country Club. The cost to register is $70, which includes refreshments, food on the course, dinner, a T-shirt, a golf towel and other prizes.

Women's lacrosse league starts in July
The Auburn Women's Box Lacrosse League will begin play July 3, at Casey Park. The season will last until the first week of August, and finish with playoff and championship games. All games will take place on Tuesday nights at 6, 7 and 8 p.m. The league is open to players entering high school, as well as college graduates. Players entering the ninth grade are preferred to have JV level experience.
The registration fee is $50, which includes a team T-shirt.

Deadline nearing for AHS Hall of Fame
The Auburn High School Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations. Forms can be picked up at the Auburn YMCA, Lewis Restaurant, or the Auburn athletic office on Thornton Avenue.
All candidates for the AHS Hall of Fame must be nominated by someone else, and once nominated that person will remain on the ballot. Nominations must be received by June 30. The banquet will be Nov. 3 at Springside Inn.
