Two Cents

When they have city council meetings on television, they better check their microphones. They are dead and you can't hear what the people are saying.
Wow! Michael Reagan finally wrote a commentary about the real truth of Mr. Bush and cohorts of their scary idea and legislation on immigration reform that could have real life scary results.

Look at the terrible harm that Michael Quill did to Auburn taxpayers serving as fire chief. Multiply that 100 times as the disaster he would give the Auburn taxpayers if he became mayor.

Congrats to the Republican arm of the Democratic Party, you have assured the re-election of your mayor. Hopefully, a primary will show the feelings of the normal members of the party, and send your sacrificial goat back into retirement where he went when he couldn't stand the heat.

Even the residents of Sennett should know that unless signed otherwise, the speed limit is 55 MPH. Check out the V&T laws.

ABRACADABRA! PRESTO! The kayak park is now the kiosk shuffle! “Veddy interesting!”

" The handicapped spaces must have their own meters and not part of the kiosk system. If not then they are in violation of the handicapped free access laws. "

" The Democrats need that poverty vote to balance out all the voters turned away and disenfranchised by crooked poll workers. (republicans) "

" Has anyone else noticed that the Pictures of the Week on the home page have been there for months? Should be titled Pictures of the Decade.... Being titled Pictures of the Week, you would expect them to change weekly. I keep waiting to see new pictures but they are always the same. "

" Mike Quill is an honerable & decent member of this community, who doesn't have the "baggage" or agenda that the others carry. I for one want some new blood in City Hall and he's got all the qualifications that Auburn needs. Lets clean out the dead wood. "

" What harm did Mike Quill do to the city of Auburn? That man served the city of Auburn for over 25 years, worked himself up the ranks of the fire fighters, served his country in the United States Marine Corp. What has our current mayor ever done for Auburn? beside making empty promises or hasn't delivered on other promises. Look at Auburn who's done the harm? "

" Why did the Auburn school board extend Mr. Pabis' contract. He should have to wait until his contract expired just like the teachers, custodians, and secretaries have to wait years for a settlement. Why is he so darn special. He probably got a sizeable raise, but no one is saying how much. Shame on the school board. "

" I think the kayak park sounds cool, but the kiosks, well not so much. In fact, I think the kiosks are a bad idea because as I heard you'll have to walk farther (think of the elderly and handicap) and I like the old nostalgic look of the meters. "

" As far as the immigration reform (amnesty), more republicans oppose than dems (the dems are all for the extra poverty votes), but it seems no one has any intention of truely enforcing the current laws and securing the borders. "
