Health Dept. reports new cough case
Cayuga County Health Department officials on Monday reported another Auburn High School student diagnosed with whooping cough.
Officials suggest people showing signs of pertussis should seek treatment as soon as possible. As of last Friday, the health department reported that seven people had been diagnosed with the disease which began with cases in an infant and the baby's mother. The remaining diagnosed patients attend Auburn High School. Department officials continue to investigate whether there is a link between them and the initial cases.
