Pardon my naivete, but isn't it getting pretty obvious that The Citizen newspaper is becoming two things: very elitist in the way they and their employees have separated themselves from the public more and more every day, and two, that disingenuous column June 9 by Mr. Boyer, which made the premise that the paper tries to be neutral.
To all the detractors of the Two Cents page: If our elected servants did not lie, cheat, steal and commit other despicable acts, then I guess we wouldn't need the Two Cents column. But until such time as those things don't occur, let's keep it going strong.
Enough with all the expensive biofuel and hybrids. Bring back all four models of Subaru 360 - 66 mpg.
You can sit in the waiting room and hear every single word uttered in the Social Security office. If they decide to leave it open, perhaps they should invest in some soundproofing.
Once upon a time, a “raise” was only given to an employee who demonstrated above average work performance, but now all government employees expect one every year. Perhaps we need to go back to the days when - during wartime - no one got a raise because taxpayers considered it unpatriotic!
I hope Cherry Love-Duncan runs a primary for council. I'll vote for her.
