Auburn must fight to save Social Security office

Saturday, June 16, 2007 11:30 PM EDT

Carole Estabrook thinks the SSA should go? The Auburn office is a drain on resources? I would like to know whose resources! I know this is Ms. Estabrook's view on this matter, but I do not believe it's the view of many other Auburnians. Especially those that do not have the means to go to Syracuse or Geneva. With the gas prices today, it would put more of a drain on the resources of the elderly.
What else must Auburn lose. It was mentioned that the SSA could not get the required help to staff the office. With the unemployment level in the Auburn area, I seriously doubt this is a fact.

Let's stick together with Mr. Arcuri and try to keep this office in Auburn.
