Author Dirk Kruse-Etzbach and photographer Martina Bromberg visited Fair Haven and Sterling Wednesday on behalf of the German company, Iwanowski Verlag, publisher of “Iwanowski's New York,” a travel manual to New York state. The pair were collecting information on the Great Lakes to include in an updated travel guide to New York state to be published by the end of 2007.
Jesse Kline, communications specialist for the Cayuga County Office of Tourism, escorted the pair to Anchor Resort and Marina, Pleasant Beach Hotel, Fly By Night Cookie Company, Fair Haven Beach State Park, Sterling Lake Shore Park & Nature Center, while driving through Main Street Fair Haven and by the site of the Sterling Renaissance Festival which begins in July.
The duo then moved on to Sacketts Harbor for the rest of their tour along Lake Ontario.
This press tour was part of the ongoing public relations program the Cayuga County Office of Tourism conducts in collaboration with the New York State Division of Tourism.
