Siracusa secures victory for ACF

Zach Siracusa pitched three shutout innings in relief of teammate Ryan McCormick to secure a 5-2 win for Auburn Correctional Facility against Fucillo Auto in an Auburn Little League baseball game Thursday. Mark Bachman, Jacob Jackson and Colin Kalabanka all had big hits for ACF.
Nick Fiermonte struck out 10 batters for Fucillo in the loss.

KIDS SANDLOT LEAGUE

Byrne Dairy 14, Nucor 2

Brady Jenner hit two home runs and supplied strong pitching to lead Byrne Dairy to victory. C.J. Carr had a single, double and five RBIs, while Alex Gauras had a two-RBI double. Cody Fredette supplied strong pitching and defense.

Mike Fischer had a single and one RBI for Nucor. Dustin Culver and Kaycie Alberry each singled, while Culver also played solid defense.

AUBURN PONY LEAGUE

Auburn Kiwanis 10, Auburn Fire Fighters 4

Kevin DiCola had two hits and struck out 13 batters in five innings of no-hit ball to lead Auburn Kiwanis to victory. Matt Joroans also saw action on the mound, striking out three. Brandon Delf collected a double and a triple, Brandon Titus hit a home run and Pat Deluca tallied two hits.

Anthony Mucciui had one hit for the Auburn Fire Fighters.

LITTLE LEAGUE

Union Springs X 17, Union Springs IX

Garrett Cunningham and Jim Dranscak pitched in the win as Union Springs X finished the regular season 12-0.

Dranscak (triple), Austin Quick (double) and R.J. Moon had three hits apiece while Hunter Haff (double, triple), Kevin Cunningham and Nico Aquilar chipped in with two hits each.

Also contributing to the offense was Garrett Cunningham, Tyler McNeal, Jacob Jirnec and Treshaun Stokes.

Leading the defense for Union Springs X was Brandon Shaffer and Logan Corcoran.

Union Springs begins playoff play next week.

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL

S-K Post 10, Canandaigua 4

Eric Miller and Zach Prentice each hit home runs to lead S-K Post to the win. Ryan Gleason pitched six strong innings, allowing only six hits, and Dave Shellhammer pitched the seventh inning.

Gleason also collected three hits, including a double and a triple, at the plate.

Prentice had three hits, including the home run, while J.D. LaRue and Ryan LaRue each had two hits.
