AHS softball players honored by league
Several Auburn softball players were named to all-league teams.

Senior Amanda Daum earned first-team all-league, as well as first team all-Section III and the OHSL Colonial American Player of the Year.

Shannon McCormick and Lauren Fedyshyn were named to second-team all-league. Pitcher Brittney Babcock was given honorable mention, as was Sara Doan and Kristy Piwinski.

Bona Memorial to be played July 9

The 14th annual Joseph M. Bona Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at 10:30 a.m. July 9 at the Lakeview Golf and Country Club. The $65 entry fee covers all 18 holes, a cart, food and beverages, dinner and prizes. Applications are at the Lakeview Golf and Country Club.

Pirro Tournament a week away

The third annual Friends of Dave Pirro Golf Tournament will be held at 8 a.m. Friday, June 22, at Skaneateles Country Club.

Money raised will benefit community service projects in Skaneateles and many local and national organizations that Pirro supported.

Registration will be at 7 a.m. and the day will conclude with a dinner and silent auction.

Tennis camp to be held at AHS

There will be a summer tennis camp at Auburn High School for girls and boys.

The camp is three days a week for four weeks.

Participants can sign up for one week at a time for $15 or for all four weeks for $50. The camp will be held the weeks of June 25, July 9, July 16 and July 23 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Rain days will be Wednesdays and Fridays.

Division I (grades first through sixth) will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and Division II (grades seventh through 12th) will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Adventure camp to run in Marcellus

The Ultimate Goal in Marcellus announces its Adventure Camp Series for children ages 4 to 6. Camp director Jess Gilmore, an Auburn native, will run the unique combination of action, fantasy, creativity and fun. The weekly themes include: June 25-29, Explorers Week; July 2-6, Kids In Cooking Week; July 9-13, Super Tots Week; July 16-20, Disney Week; July 23-27, Young Artist Week; July 30 to Aug. 3, Super Hero Week; Aug. 6-10, Circus Week.

Registrations can be for on week or several by calling 673-4625. The cost is $90 per week, and runs from 9 a.m. to noon.

Girls hoops camp begins in August

The Auburn Maroons girls basketball camp will run from Aug. 6-9 at Seward Elementary. Sessions will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the camp is open to girls in grades third through eighth who live in the Auburn School District. Limited openings are available.
