Mike Assmann tossed a complete game no-hitter to lead S-K Post past Skaneateles 6-0 in an American Legion Baseball game Tuesday.
Assmann struck out 11 batters en route to the win. The game remained scoreless until the fifth inning, when S-K Post exploded for six runs. Assmann, Zach Frost, Christian Berwind, Ryan Gleason and J.D. LaRue all had RBI singles.
Zach Prentice added a double, while Gavin Gleason made a key defensive play in right field to preserve Assmann's no-hitter.
AUBURN BABE RUTH LEAGUE
Byrn Trophy 11,
Auburn Federal Credit Union 4
Justin Lyndaker had three hits, including a double to lead Byrn. Brian Church had two hits, one of which was a double, while Andrew Chadderdon also had two hits. Connor Kilmer and Paul Quinn each collected one hit. Lyndaker pitched all seven innings as well, striking out eight batters.
Chris Anderson and Bradon Bosek split pitching duties for Auburn Federal Credit Union.
S.K. Post 11, Auburn Credit Union 4
Kyle Proulx had a double and three RBIs, while Bill Kick had a double and two RBIs to lead S.K. Post. Brad Murdoch added two hits and two RBIs, and Bian Roe tallied two hits. Bob Dushatinski struck out 10 batters in a complete game victory.
Matt Festa had three hits, including two doubles, for Auburn Credit Union. Kris Catino and Brandan Bozek both saw time at pitcher.
LITTLE LEAGUE
Union Springs X 23, Genoa 2
Austin Quick, Hunter Haff, Garrett Cunningham, R.J. Moon and Treshaun Stokes each had three hits to lead Union Springs, and Jimmy Drancsak added a grand slam in the victory. Jacob Jirniec and Drancsak had two hits apiece, and Tyler McNeal, Kevin Cunningham, Brandon Shaffer and Logan Corcoran each had a hit.
Quick, Haff and Moon shared mound duties, and Nico Aquilar played solid defense.
Union Springs (11-0) plays its final game today.
AUBURN LITTLE LEAGUE
Mortimer's 10, Bouley's 3
Tom Alexander recorded four hits, including a double and a triple, to power Mortimer's to a win. Matt Brooks had three hits, Jim Mantoll had three doubles and Matt Nolan had two hits. Kevin Talbot had a double, and Robbie Relfe had one hit. Alexander had seven strikeouts, while Brooks had two strikeouts.
Lucas Drancsak had two hits for Bouley's, one of which was a home run. Mike Charles also had a home run. Charles and Tyler Weslowski shared the pitching load.
KIDS SANDLOT LEAGUE
Route 31 Automotive 14,
Children's Health Specialist 13
Jordan Congdon, Logan MacNicol and Collin Fipps all had strong performances at the plate to lead Route 31 Automotive to victory Tuesday.
Dianna Perez and Samantha Butler each had three hits for Children's Health Specialist. Jordan Wallace played great defense, helping turn a triple play.

Zack Squires had eight hits for Butler Services. Noah Lewis, Lilly Bellnier and Conner Smigliani each had seven hits. Matthew Ward played great defense in the field.
Nathan Currier, Terrence O'Donnell and Joseph Powers all had four hits for the Autech Plastics.

Anna Alberry led the way for Auburn Police with three RBIs. Max Morabito had a double, while Steve Gillooly and Tyler McKeen were strong on defense.
