A 16-year-old teenager admitted to burglarizing eight homes in Owasco and Auburn in Cayuga County Court Thursday.
Paul Driscoll, 16, with a last known address of 3 Sheridan St., Auburn, pleaded guilty to eight felony counts of third-degree burglary.

Judge Thomas Leone did not make a firm sentencing commitment to Driscoll, but the judge indicated he would likely make the sentences run at the same time.

" Teens? Adults? CRIME IS CRIME PEOPLE!! WAKE UP AND HELP OUR YOUTH MAKE A LIFE FOR THEMSELVES......EVIDENTLY HE NEEDS GUIDANCE OR HE WOULDN'T BE OUT ON THE STREETS! HE NEEDS WORK TO TIRE HIM OUT, HELP WITH SCHOOL AND PROSPECTS FOR THE FUTURE. "GET INVOLVED", DON'T GIVE HIM A CHOICE AUBURN PENAL SYSTEM, MAKE IT FOR HIM. "

" PR your right, and in this case its both bad childhood and no father figure around. I know this boys family and it still doesn't make it right what he done. But sometimes an adult will come along an help one of these youths and in this case it didn't happen, sometimes sixteen is a lonely age. The above excuses are always going to be out there, but once in a while it is true and the youth makes a bad mistake. In this case its true. "

" PR- he most certainly should use "bad childhood", since he's still in his. "

" Under New York State Law, Burglary in the Second Degree (Burglary of a residence) is a VIOLENT Felony. This kid has eight of them. 1-3 years in State Prison, with NO Y.O. would be about right. Additionally, where were his parents? THey didn't notice the extra money and material things he had. IF AUBURN DOESN'T START TO GET TOUGH ON CRIME, YOU WILL LOSE THE CITY. "

" What a bogus person you must be PR !! If we can't save a sixteen year old and make him a functional part of society then we are all doomed... "

" I wonder what this one is going to use? Bad childhood, no father figure around, etc. This person "if found guilty" needs to be put away for a long time, and help keep Aubun crime free. "
