Starting Tuesday, visitors to the auburnpub.com Web site will be required to participate in a light registration system in order to post comments through the Citizens' Say interactive feature.
Users who want to participate in the online discussions among readers that appear at the bottom of articles are now being asked to sign up with a user name and password. They can also provide other information in the registration process, but nothing else is required to post comments.
Those who do not register at all will still have access to the content on the site.
In the future, people who do include e-mail addresses and other information in their registration form will be able to sign up for new interactive features now being planned, such as email updates with breaking news.
For more information about the new registration system, please read Executive Editor Jeremy Boyer's weekly column this Saturday, June 16.
