Homic's series heals bad habits
Homic Advanced Chiropractic will host a Human Potential Series during the month of June.
The first session, “Healing Your Habits: Why You Are Not the Problem,” will be held from 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, at 22 State St., Auburn.
B.J.'s House, a suicide prevention and education presentation, will be the second in the series. It will be held from 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at the same location.
There is no cost to attend, but pre-registration is required.

Memory loss focus of health session
If you have concerns about an older person who has memory loss, a session conducted by Cathy James from the Alzheimer's Association will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 14, in the second floor conference room at Auburn Memorial Hospital to answer those concerns.
Topics to be covered include an overview of Alzheimer's disease and dementia, review of symptoms and stages, strategies for better communication, caregiving tips and different programs and services that are available. Also, an opportunity to ask questions will be allowed.

Cancer education topic of discussion
weCare, a cancer support group in Skaneateles, will offer a community-wide cancer educational meeting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at The Creamery, 28 Hannum St., Skaneateles.
Barb Gaal, director of Family and Patient Services of the American Cancer Society, will speak on “How can the American Cancer Society help your family?”
‘Walk the walk' to benefit the Red Cross
The Cayuga County Chapter of the American Red Cross, Homes By Don Kasper and Quincy Hill invite the community to a 1-mile benefit walk for the Red Cross from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 16, in the newest neighborhood in the area, Quincy Hill. Participants can tour a completed home and “walk-the-walk” for a complimentary Red Cross goodie bag stuffed with coupons, home safety books and a free first aid kit. Refreshments will be served.
Quincy Hill is located off Route 20, just outside Auburn to the west.
Homes by Don Kasper and Quincy Hill will donate $1 per walker to support the Cayuga County Chapter of the American Red Cross.

The Center to teach unique ‘yoga' class
Chiyoganosis is taught by Connie Heagerty, a certified hypnotherapist. It incorporates a unique combination of Tai Chi, gentle Hatha Yoga and hypnosis for body, mind, spirit and emotional wellness, and it is suitable for all fitness levels.
A chiyoganosis class will be offered each Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. June 19 through July 17, at The Center, 1 Hoffman St., Auburn.
The class fee is $75, and space is limited.
