Ultimate Goal hosts adventure program
The Ultimate Goal in Marcellus announces its Adventure Camp Series for children ages 4 to 6. Camp director Jess Gilmore, an Auburn native, will run the unique combination of action, fantasy, creativity and fun. The weekly themes include: June 25-29, Explorers Week; July 2-6, Kids In Cooking Week; July 9-13, Super Tots Week; July 16-20, Disney Week; July 23-27, Young Artist Week; July 30 to Aug. 3, Super Hero Week; Aug. 6-10, Circus Week.
Registrations can be for on week or several by calling 673-4625. The cost is $90 per week, and runs from 9 a.m. to noon.
Box lacrosse taking registrations
The 17th annual Men's Box Lacrosse League at Casey Park will begin play on Monday, July 2. Team Applications and Over 30 League applications are currently being collected. Applications are available at Liberty Lacrosse, Champions For Life or Auburn High School. The deadline is June 23.

Funding available for sports camps
Sen. Mike Nozzolio has secured $10,000 in funding to help provide Auburn City School District students with an opportunity to improve their athletic skills, build character and leadership, and increase their chances to earn athletic scholarships.
Application forms are available in the Auburn High School guidance office and at the Auburn Athletic Office at 78 Thornton Ave.
The deadline to be considered for this funding is July 6. Only students who will be juniors or seniors in the 2007-08 school year are eligible, and the maximum award is $250.
Tennis lessons to be held at Casey Park
Registrations are being accepted for tennis lessons for children ages 6 and up at the Auburn Parks and recreation Department, 358 Genesee St., Auburn.
There will be four sessions as follows: July 2-6 at Casey Park, July 9-13 at Clifford Park, July 23-27 at Casey Park and July 30 to Aug. 3 at Clifford Park. Lessons will be offered for beginners, intermediate and advanced players.

Cayuga Sportsmen to host open house
The Cayuga County Sportsman's Club will be hosting an open house Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 1.
The event will give those interested in the shotgun sports an opportunity to see what the club has to offer, take a tour of the different events, such as Trap, Skeet, 5-stand and Sporting Clays, and even try a game. Shooting is restricted to ages 14 and older, and all safety equipment will be provided.
Instructors will be on hand, and there will be complimentary coffee and doughnuts.

Car wash to benefit AHS girls basketball
The Auburn High School girls basketball team will hold a car wash from 10 a.m. at Applebee's. Money raised will help pay for their trip to North Carolina Basketball Camp in July.
