Church to hold breakfast, drive
Countryside United Methodist Church will hold a pancake breakfast and bottle/can drive from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9, in Springlake. Money raised from the breakfast will help sponsor four young people who will be attending church camp this summer.

Ledyard church to serve turkey
The Ledyard United Methodist Church will host a turkey dinner beginning at noon Sunday, June 10, at the church, Route 34B, between King Ferry and Poplar Ridge.
The menu includes roast turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing and gravy, vegetables, cole slaw, cranapple sauce, relishes, homemade brown bread and pies. The meal is $7 for adults and $3 for children ages 6 through 12.
For take-out reservations, call 374-9955, and on Sunday morning, call 283-1662.
Retreat center to hold festival
The Stella Maris Retreat and Renewal Center will host its third annual Strawberry Festival from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 10, at the center, 130 E. Genesee St., Skaneateles. The Strawberry Festival is a family event with live entertainment, artisans, cash and prize raffles, games and activities for children as well as strawberry treats.
Musical talent will include jazz bands from Skaneateles schools, Christian Brothers Academy, Tyburn Academy and will feature Dixieland Jazz by Soda Ash.
Children's activities include moonwalk, face painting, games and more.
Tickets are $7 for students and seniors, $10 for adults and $25 for a family pass. Proceeds benefit Stella Maris Capital Improvement Projects. To learn more, call 730-3472.
Dutch oven seminar to heat up Bass Pro
At 1 p.m. Saturday, June 16, and Saturday, June 24, “Dutch Oven Dave Horton” will give a seminar and hands-on cooking and tasting demonstration on Dutch Oven cooking for camping.
The demonstrations will be held in front of the Bass Pro Shops Sportsman's Center at the Fingerlakes Mall in Aurelius.

Sacred Heart Church will serve a Father's Day breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, June 17, at the church, 90 Melrose Road, Auburn. The menu will include scrambled eggs, sausage links, pancakes, juice and coffee.
The cost is $3 per adult and $2 per child. Moms and children will be serving breakfast to dad. Everyone is welcome.
Refuge, winery plan special event
The Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge and Montezuma Winery will present the Wildflowers and Wine event from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 17, at the refuge, 3395 Routes 5 and 20 East, Montezuma. Visitors can take wildlife tours of the cerulean warbler habitat and sow wildflower seeds on a grassland restoration project.
The Montezuma Volunteer Fire Department will hold a barbecue at the winery, which will also unveil its new Cerulean Warbler wine.
