The Cayuga County Arts Council has appointed an executive director to lead projects, including the Schine Theater restoration.
Susan Harris brings 20 years of experience in project management, strategic marketing, public relations and fundraising, according to a press release from the council.
The Union Springs resident and Wells College graduate previously served on two state grant review boards. She also has a master's degree in communication design from SUNY Oswego.
Harris's key responsibility will be the ongoing restoration historic Schine Theater on South Street in Auburn. The council purchased the building in 1998 and has gradually made repairs since then.
